We are looking for a creative and proactive marketer who has the drive and determination to assist our Marketing and Communications Manager in delivering all aspects of marketing and communications for our popular visitor attraction.

Castle Espie is the only WWT centre in Northern Ireland and lies on the north-west shore of the stunning Strangford Lough, 15km south of Belfast. Strangford Lough is the largest sea inlet in the UK or Ireland and is an area of international wildlife importance. We provide a window across Strangford Lough and offer our visitors the chance to discover, and get close to wetland habitats and wildlife.

The Role

You will implement & contribute to the annual marketing and communication plan for the visitor centre. Using your skills and knowledge you will focus on generating new visitation through PR, advertising, social media, event planning and relationship development with internal and external stakeholders.

About You

To join as our PR and Marketing Executive you’ll have:

  • experience of marketing to a variety of audiences, understanding the subtleties this entails
  • an ability to engage and connect with these audiences through a variety of media.
  • great people skills with the ability to work closely with colleagues to identify marketing opportunities and identify compelling stories.
