Specialist/Expert Volunteer (Educators, Speakers or Nature Walk Leaders)

We are looking for a wildlife lover with a love of education who would feel confident guiding bird walks or delivering talks for community groups. Whether you have a background in ecology, conservation or are just a self-taught, seasoned birder - if you love sharing your passion with others, we'd love to hear from you.

The tasks may include the below but are adaptable to areas of interest and expertise.

  • Preparing and delivering talks on birds or other wildlife.
  • Leading guided walks.
  • Researching locality-specific wildlife and features.
  • Developing education resources.
  • Demonstrating and delivering creative activities.

The following skills, qualities experience would be useful:

  • Good wildlife knowledge in at least one field or specialism.
  • Confidence in public speaking.
  • An infectious enthusiasm for nature.
  • Able to adapt style to a range of audiences
