Ranger Role Profile

 

Mount Edgcumbe Country Park offers you a unique opportunity to join its Ranger Team based in 850 acres of Cornish coastal splendour.

 

You will be working on a site that includes 56 listed buildings, 5 ancient monuments, 17kms of coastline including SSSI's in a Grade 1 listed landscape making up England's largest country park.

 

This is a position which will be line managed by the Head Ranger and is a permanent full-time role.

 

The post holder will assist with the maintenance of the Grade 1 listed landscape, a Deer Park, two formal gardens, extensive public footpaths and cliff lined woodland coastal strips as well as designated SSSI habitats.

 

The role will involve practical habitat management and creation, woodland restoration, remote holiday-let property meet-and-greets, access work, tree and landscape emergency work, grounds maintenance and deer management.

 

Must have a diploma level qualification in environmental or conservation/countryside management.
