We have created an environment of continuous learning and development where the only limit is yourself. Our aim is to help each employee in their career by providing opportunities to learn new skills, gain knowledge and build confidence to reach their full potential.

We have multiple different programmes available to our employees to help them progress in their careers. Two of our most popular are our Mentoring programme and Wellbeing Champions programme which you can hear all about from Hannah and Graham in the video below.

In addition to the various programmes available there is a library of over 5,000 courses, webinars, ebooks and podcasts covering a vast array of topics which staff are actively encouraged to make full use of to learn and develop their skill sets.

Mentoring program

Hannah, a newcomer to the realm of local government, was encouraged by her manager to join the Mentoring program to aid her transition. Listen to Hannah as she provides a glimpse into her experience with the program, detailing how it enabled her to confront numerous fears and combat imposter syndrome as she ascended to a new position.
