It’s a really exciting time at the Martin Mere Wetland Centre, with ambitious plans to improve the wetland habitats at one of the best known nature reserves in the UK.

The reserve carries SSSI, SPA and RAMSAR site designations and, as a result, we are seeking a hardworking, experienced and enthusiastic individual to manage and enhance the biodiversity of the reserve, and work with partner organisations, during this exciting period and beyond.

The role will oversee the upkeep and regeneration of site infrastructure, innovative management of wetland and species monitoring. In addition, the role will be at the forefront of WWT Martin Mere’s Engagement Strategy, providing excellent customer service and delivering high quality public relations through walks, talks, radio and TV. There will also be some day to day Centre Management responsibilities.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level standard, or equivalent, with previous reserve management experience. Excellent communication skills and supervisory experience are also essential to the role.
